Description

Canada, represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), is inviting suppliers with experience in the delivery of construction services for the Embassy of Canada to Zimbabwe, in Harare (the “Requirement”). This Invitation to Qualify (ITQ) defines the requirements for the qualification of Respondents for the Requirement. Interested Respondents are required to respond to this ITQ. Based on these Responses, Canada intends to select, in accordance with the terms of this ITQ, the Qualified Respondents to participate in the Request for Proposals (RFP) stage of the solicitation.

The Requirement includes the renovation of staff quarters for the Embassy of Canada to Zimbabwe, in Harare. The scope will include, but is not limited to, the following:

a. Demolition;

b. Foundation construction;

c. Complete mobilization/demobilization, staging and clean-up on-site;

d. Brickworks, plastering and screeds;

e. Metal works;

f. Plumbing and Septic Tank Repairs;

g. Roofing and Ceiling Installations;

h. Bathroom and Kitchen Replacement;

i. Painting;

j. Installation of New Doors and Windows ; and

k. Electrical Rewiring and Mechanical Works

A Respondents’ conference will be held virtually on October 2, 2025. The conference will begin at 15:00 CAT (Central Africa Time). The scope of the requirement outlined in the ITQ will be reviewed during the conference and questions will be answered. It is recommended that Respondents who intend to submit a Response attend the conference.
