GRAVE MARKER CONSERVATION AND RESETTING

The Town of Shrewsbury in Massachusetts invites sealed bids for historic grave marker conservation and resetting services at Mountain View Cemetery. All contractors must submit bids in conformance with this Invitation for Bids and the related documents which shall be available online at https://shrewsburyma.gov/bids and also in the Town Manager’s Office at 100 Maple Avenue in Shrewsbury (phone: 508-841-8508). Town Offices are open Mon, Wed, Thu 8:00 AM-4:30 PM; Tue 8:00 AM-6:30 PM; and Fri 8:00 AM-12:00 PM.

Bid prices shall not exceed $200,000.

The awarded contract will begin in Spring 2025.

This Invitation for Bids shall be governed by the requirements of MGL Chapter 30, §39M.

Bids will be received in the Town Manager’s Office at 100 Maple Avenue in Shrewsbury, MA until 11:00AM on December 19, 2024, at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud.

Bids must be sealed and marked “ Historic Grave Marker Conservation and Resetting Services” with the bidder’s name and address clearly noted.

A bid deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany the Bid and be made payable to the Town of Shrewsbury.

The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bids and to reject any and all bids if it shall be deemed in the best interests of the Town to do so.
