Electric Vehicle (EV) Managed Charging

Description of goods to services to be bid:

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) announces the availability of $4 million in funds for Managed Electric Vehicle Charging. This Program Opportunity Notice (PON) seeks technologies to improve the performance and validate value propositions to address interoperability challenenges in the Avangrid service territory. The projects also help establish a pathway for products and services to gain market entry by addressing existing technical and economic barriers. This PON will focus on product development and demonstration projects that address interoperabioity challenes in the Avangrid NYS service territory in support of achieving New York State’s goals from the Climate Act. The technology topic areas that are targeted in this PON were chosen in collaboration with the Avangrid. This effort is associated with the Proceeding on Motion of the Commission Regarding Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment and Infrastructure (Case 18-E-0138) as it relates to supporting the electric vehicles mandates associated with the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA).

Eligibility/Qualifications Requirements/Preferences:

NYSERDA is accepting Full Proposals in the following categories:
Category A: Product Development
Category B: Demonstration Projects

There us up to $4 million in NYSERDA funding available with a 25% cost share requirement.

(a) For demonstration projects, the site must be in New York State.
(b) A New York State manufacturer should be on a new product development project.
