Tree Removal
Synopsis:

The Town of Rockglen is accepting sealed tenders for the removal of eight (8) Dutch Elm trees, including full stump removal, located within the town limits.

Scope of Work:

A total of eight (8) Dutch Elm trees are to be removed.
Trees designated for removal will be clearly marked by the Town prior to commencement of work.
Complete stump removal is required for all trees. Stumps must be ground down to a minimum depth sufficient to allow for safe replanting or restoration of the area.
Work must be performed in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
Proper removal and disposal of Dutch Elm Disease (DED) trees is required, in compliance with all provincial DED regulations and guidelines.

Contractor Requirements:

The successful contractor must provide the following with their tender submission:
Proof of liability insurance.
A current clearance letter from the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB).

The contractor is responsible for:

Protection of public and private property during all phases of work.
Documenting any damages with photographs and written descriptions.
Fully repairing any damages at the contractor’s sole expense, to the satisfaction of the Town of Rockglen.
Providing all necessary signage, barricades, and traffic cones to safely block off any affected pathways, sidewalks, or traffic routes during tree removal and maintenance operations.
Ensuring complete removal and proper disposal of all logs, brush, stumps, and waste wood, in accordance with Dutch Elm Disease disposal protocols.

Submit a complete breakdown of all costs associated with the removal, including equipment, labour, cleanup, stump removal, and disposal.
All tenders must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked:

Tenders must be postmarked or dropped off at the Town Office no later than 4:30 PM on November 10, 2025.
