INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Ottawa County Commissioners at their offices in the Court
House, 315 Madison Street, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452 until 11:00 A.M., local time, March 12, 2026 at
which time bids will be opened for the 2026 CHIP SEAL SURFACE TREATMENT OF VARIOUS
TOWNSHIP ROADS.
Bids must be sealed and endorsed on the outside of the envelope with the name of the bidder and the
project bid upon. Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time will neither be read nor
considered. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for
the receipt of bids.
The contract documents and specifications are on file at the office of the Ottawa County Engineer, 8247
West State Route #163, Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449. The documents may be obtained at the Ottawa County
Engineer’s

contacting the Ottawa County Engineers Office at (419) 734-6777 and submitting payment as may be
required.
In accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 307.87 this shall serve as notification that this notice is
available on The Ottawa County Engineer’s project page on the World Wide Web by logging onto
https://www.co.ottawa.oh.us/Bids.aspx?CatID=19&txtSort=Category&showAllBids=&Status=open and
locating this project within the list.
No proposal will be considered unless it is made on the blanks furnished by the County. No bidder shall
take any exception to any requirement of the specifications. Each proposal must contain the full name of
the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty and must meet all requirements of Section 153.54 of the
Ohio Revised Code and the Instructions to Bidders.
All work shall be carried out in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations that
apply to the work. Any project specification item in conflict with a federal, state, or local law, rule or
regulation, shall be void.
The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any
irregularities in a bid, or to accept that bid which in the judgment of proper officials is to the best interest
of the County.
