Backflow Testing, Repair, and Installation Services

Proposer shall provide all labor, traffic control, materials, supplies, equipment, vehicles, and haul away of all debris as needed to test, repair, replace and/or install backflow devices. The City currently owns 433 backflow devices at various locations throughout the City that require annual state mandated testing by a certified backflow device tester , per request by City and in accordance with specified test dates and deadlines. The City reserves the right to add or subtract the number of devices throughout the term of the contract.

The City of Thousand Oaks is located in eastern Ventura County and consists of 56 square miles. The City population is approximately 122,000. The City is a general law city operating under the Council/Manager form of government. The City Council is comprised of five elected members, with one member serving as Mayor on an annual basis. On July 18, 2023, the City Council adopted an ordinance which will move the City to district-based elections starting in November 2024.
