The Town of Needham, Massachusetts, acting through its Town Manager and Permanent Public Building Committee, invites sealed bids from General Contractors, and Sub-Contractor firms for the Needham Public Library Phase I Teen Space Project located at 1139 Highland Ave, Needham, MA in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by Utile, Inc.. Bidders can submit bids for this project in the following categories of work:
General Contractor
Subcontractor categories: Glass & Glazing, Acoustic Tile, HVAC, Electrical.

A non-mandatory pre-bid walk through will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Needham Public Library, 1139 Highland Ave, Needham, MA.
Scope includes the interior renovation of the Teen Space during the fall of 2025.
All work associated with the renovation is to be substantially completed and the system fully operational by February 2, 2026. The Estimated Construction Cost: $1,820,000. DCAMM Certification is required.
Sub-contractor bids are due on 4/3/2025 and General Contractor bids are due on 4/17/2025 at the Public Service Administration Window, 500 Dedham Ave., Needham, MA 02492 until the deadlines at 3:00PM at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the adjacent Charles River Room. Late bids and Email bids will not be accepted.
Wages are subject to prevailing wage rates as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Section 26-27H as amended. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids as determined to be in the best interests of the Town and to waive minor informalities.
