Description: The State University of New York at Upstate Medical University will receive sealed bids for Project Number: 151288/1567. Titled: UH 2W Renovation for Employee Health. Until 2 p.m. local time on December 30, 2025 at: Delivered to: Mrs. Jeanie Pender/ Ms. Ivy Moshier Contracts & Campus Purchasing SUNY Upstate Medical University Dr. Sarah Loguen Center, 2 nd floor 650 South Salina Street, Room 2050 Syracuse, New York 13202 where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals may be hand delivered or mailed to the above location and must be received at such time. Scope of work is to include all necessary labor, material and equipment for the abatement of hazardous materials located in the Upstate Medical University Employee Health Suite. The remove and dispose asbestos-containing floor tiles, wall base, ceiling tile, containing sink undercoating, associated mastic and lead lined doors The project area is roughly 4,400 square feet. Please refer to the testing report attached to this document. All work on this Contract is to be completed within 30 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed”) Complete sets of Contract Documents for bidding may be examined free of charge at the campus and at the following locations.
Section 143 of the State Finance Law requires payment of a deposit to receive these documents. Accordingly, a deposit check of $49.99 made payable to SUNY Upstate Medical University , is required. Deposits less than $50.00 are nonrefundable. Deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. (Under SFL 143 the campus has the option to waive the deposit requirement where bid documents “are made available and obtained electronically or in any non-paper form by the agency”. If the campus wishes to waive the deposit for all bidders, delete the above paragraph). A site visit to the area where the work is to be performed has been deemed to be necessary to fully understand the parameters and constraints which affect the preparation of the bid for the same. A mandatory site visit has been scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025 at 10 AM with all contractors meeting in the main lobby of University Hospital. All potential bidders are advised that they must sign a “Site Visit Form” to verify that they have complied with this requirement of the contract. Failure to fulfill this requirement will disqualify your bid proposal.
