Notice to Bidders
The city of Forrest City, Arkansas will be receiving sealed bids for the upgrading of the existing asphalt walking trails at the Larry S. Bryant Sports Complex in Forrest City, Arkansas. The project consists of removing some of the existing asphalt trails, removing cracks and bulges, placing new SB-2 base material, widening the trails to 12 foot wide, and overlaying with 2” of new asphalt, and striping. Total length of trails is approximately 5258 LF.
This is an ARDOT Project. Job No. 110772, F.A.P. TAPSC-9149(7), Forrest City Sports Complex Trail Improvements (TAP-22)(S), St. Francis County, Arkansas.
Plans, Specifications, and Contract Document can be obtained from Gunn and Associates, Consulting Engineers, 413 Cleveland Street, Forrest City, Arkansas 72335, for a cost of $100.00 per set, non-refundable, between 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Phone 870-633-0333.
Sealed bids will be accepted by the City of Forrest City, Arkansas at the City Council Room at City Hall, 225 North Washington Street, Forrest City, Arkansas until 2:00pm, April 14, 2026, at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud.
Each bid submitted shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a certified check made out to the City of Forrest City, Arkansas in the amount of 5% of the bid. Bid shall also have the Contractor’s License information.
The City of Forrest City would like to encourage all small, minority and women’s business enterprises to participate in the bidding.
Bidders are advised that Arkansas State Contractor Licensing Law applies to this project. All primary and subcontractors are no required to have a license to submit a bid on the project, however, all prime and subcontractors are required to be licensed according to Arkansas State Law before signing the contract with the City of Forrest City, Arkansas. Evidence of Licensure shall be provided to the City of Forrest City (Owner) prior to signing the contract.
Build America and Buy America provisions apply to this project.
The City of Forrest City, Arkansas hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to appliable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws, and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply.
The City of Forrest City, Arkansas reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any or all informalities, and to award the contract to the bidder or bidders, who, in the opinion of the Owner, offers the proposal to the best interest of same.
