CITY OF SALEM, VIRGINIA

ITB #2026-026 – Water Meter Replacement Supplies

The City of Salem, Virginia, is soliciting sealed bids from qualified vendors to supply water service line fittings, meter accessories, and flange hardware for the City’s Water Meter Replacement Project, in accordance with Invitation to Bid (ITB) #2026-026.

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Salem Purchasing Department until 3:00 p.m. (local time) on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chambers, 114 North Broad Street, Salem, Virginia 24153.

Bid documents may be obtained beginning Wednesday, June 24, 2026, by:

• Downloading from the City of Salem Purchasing Department website at https://www.salemva.gov/Bids.aspx ; or

• Accessing through the eVA Virginia Procurement Portal at www.eva.virginia.gov .

Questions Deadline: 3:00 p.m. (local time), Wednesday, July 1, 2026

Bids Due: 3:00 p.m. (local time), Tuesday, July 7, 2026

Public Bid Opening: 3:05 p.m. (local time), Tuesday, July 7, 2026, in City Hall Council Chambers

All questions and requests for clarification must be submitted in writing to the Purchasing Department prior to the questions deadline stated above. Only written addenda issued by the Purchasing Department shall be binding; oral statements or interpretations shall not be binding upon the City.

The City of Salem reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the contract in whole or in part, whichever is determined to be in the best interest of the City.

This public body does not discriminate against faith-based organizations in accordance with the Code of Virginia, §2.2-4343.1, or against a bidder or offeror because of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, political affiliation, or veteran status, or any other basis prohibited by state law.
