GENERAL STATEMENT: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items issued by the 23d Contracting Squadron, Moody AFB, Georgia. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation being issued for the requirement described herein.
The 347 OSS requires water desalinator to be placed in emergency life raft kits for the 41st and 71st RQS. We are looking to purchase 24 Katadyn Survivor 06-LL-1 RES as it is the only product authorized for use by T.O 14S1-3-51 Chapter 7. Only this product authorized by the T.O provides the size that is able to fit in the Life raft that is used by the 347 OSS. The desalinator would be used in case crew needs to ditch in the ocean and would provide fresh drinking water. The product must be hand-operable, weigh less than 2.5 lbs, dimensions of less than 5"x8"x3", resistant to storage temperatures of up to 110 degrees F, produce at least 5 gallons of water per day, and be ready to use out of the box.
Attached bellow is the T.O 14S1-3-51 Chapter 7, to include the tables. that states the specifications that needs to be met for this requirement.
