Summary

The County of San Mateo (the “County” or “SMC”) covers most of the San Francisco Peninsula. The region covers 744 mi and is home to nearly 800,000 residents and 20 incorporated cities. The County provides for the health and welfare of all people within its borders and serves as the local government for the unincorporated areas. The County prides itself on how that prosperity fosters its commitment to protecting and enhancing the health, safety, welfare and natural resources of the community.

The San Mateo County Project Development Unit is solicitating proposals from qualified firms to provide design, procurement , program ing , and installation services for a new Cellular Distributed Antenna System as outlined in the attached documents for the new North County Wellness Center (or also known as the S outh San Francisco Wellness Center) located at 1024 Mission Road, South San Francisco, CA. Please read all the instructions carefully before submitting your proposal . Services shall be inclusive of labor, materials, equipment, management, coordination, travel, and other requirements for complete and thorough work . This bid constitutes a firm offer by the bidder to the County to provide the goods and services specified and will remain active for 60 calendar days after the Bid Due Date and Time or until the County signifies acceptance, whichever is earlier. If the bid is accepted, the undersigned agrees to comply with all terms, conditions and requirements of this Invitation for Bids, and to provide all of the goods and services described at the prices quoted for the term of the contract. Either signature of the County’s authorized representative or the County’s issuance of a Purchase Order will constitute acceptance of the offer and will form a binding contract, which will consist of all parts of this Invitation for Bids, including the completed and signed Bid Documents, and all exhibits, specifications, attachments, and addenda.

The Project will consist of 2 phases:

Phase 1 – Design, Engineering, Submittal and Procurement

  1. Contractor to design and engineer a complete and functional Cellular DAS system as required by the project requirements.

  1. Prepare and submit system shop drawings, product data and system diagrams for review and approval.

  1. Procurement and logistics

Phase 2 – Installation, Testing, Commissioning & Warranty

  1. Mobilization, site setup and equipment delivery

  1. Systems Installation

  1. Testing and commissioning

  1. Training & documentation

  1. Closeout and Warranty/Service

Background

San Mateo County is currently in the process of constructing a new Wellness Center located at 1024 Mission Road . In the best interest of the County, the County seeks to find the best value firm to design, engineer, procure , program and install the cellular distributed antenna system required to support the day-to-day operations on the new wellness facility .
