Zoning Board of Adjustment
TAKE NOTICE that on the 22nd day of June, 2026, the Millburn Township Zoning Board of Adjustment took the following actions:
1. Calendar No. 4071-26. Granted variance relief from sections 608.3 (steep slope
disturbance); 609.6a (wall/fence combination height); 606.2e1d (front yard setback); 607.3e
(front yard coverage) to Sudhir/Dipali Jain to construct an addition on the property located at
32 Twin Oak Road, Short Hills.
2. Calendar No. 4077-26. Granted variance relief from section 606.2e2a (building coverage)
to Samuel/Elyssa Powell to construct an open-air pavilion on the property located at 10
Farmstead Road, Short Hills.
3. Calendar No. 4086-26. Granted variance relief from sections 608.3 (steep slope
disturbance); 609.6a (front yard wall height); 606.2e1d (front yard setback) to Bharat Sadula
to construct retaining walls on the property located at 2 Brantwood Terrace, Short Hills.
4. Calendar No.4087-26. Granted variance relief from section 606.2e1d (front yard setback);
606.2e1e2b (side yard setback) to Rakesh/Mona Raju to construct an addition on the
property located at 51 Sagamore Road, Millburn.
Resolutions memorializing the decision of the Zoning Board of Adjustment with respect to the above matter will be adopted at the July 20, 2026 meeting.
5. Calendar No. 4023-24. Announced that the application of Gregory Tulchinsky, seeking
variance relief from sections 606.2e2b (lot coverage); 606.2e1e2a (side yard setback) to
maintain a raised patio installed in violation of the approved plans on the property located at
31 Talbot Court, Short Hills, was carried to 10/5/26.
6.Calendar No. 4051-25. Announced that the application of 521 MA Properties, seeking P/F
site plan approval and variance relief from sections 607.2 (parking requirement); 606.4e2a
(building coverage); 606.4e2b (floor area ratio); 606.4e2c (lot overage) to construct two 2-
bedroom apartments over existing retail space on the property located at 521 Millburn
Avenue was carried to 10/5/26.
7. Calendar No. 4085-26. Announced that the application of Scott Dorfman, seeking
variance relief from sections 606.2e2a (building coverage) and 606.2e2d (floor area ratio) to
construct an attached garage on the property located at 19 Randall Drive, Short Hills, was
carried to July 20, 2026.
