The City of Alexander is requesting quote bids for the construction and installation of the proposed 2023 Alexander Park Improvements Project. The project consists of constructing a concrete walking trail and installing park benches. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. The City of Alexander will receive bids until 2:00 pm local time on January 15th, 2025, at Alexander City Hall (Attn: Mayor Crystal Herrmann) 15605 Alexander Road, Alexander, Arkansas 72002. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. No formal bid letting will be held for this project.
Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann. ยง 22-9-203, the Owner encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration is given to the identified groups.
The bid documents may be examined at the following location:

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the office of Richardson Engineering, 325 W. South Street, Benton, Arkansas, 72015 for the sum of $75.00.
Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form. The bid proposal and work of the proposed contract shall be in accordance with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations.
The attention of the bidder is directed to the applicable federal and state requirements and conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract.
Any bid may be rejected which contains material omissions, or irregulates, or in which any of the unit prices are obviously unbalanced in the opinion of the Owner. Also, a bid may be rejected if it in any manner shall fail to conform to the conditions of the bidding requirements and contract documents.
The owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject bids, choose the most qualified bidder for the project, and to postpone award of the contract for a period of time which shall not exceed beyond 90 days from the bid opening date.
