Description
The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to remove and replace the 2 existing steam water heaters with 2 new 100% capacity independent and fully operational redundant 100 gallon-per-minute, 40-140 degree steam to water domestic hot water heaters systems that meet or exceed the saliant characteristic of the largest of the existing water heaters. The new water heater systems shall be of the steam-in-tube type, shall automatically switch between tanks, and have electronic controls that are operational through the Station’s existing BAS system. Work also includes associated components; steam system piping, domestic water piping, piping insulation, all fittings/shutoffs back to and including the isolation valves for each water heater, hangers, expansion tanks, electrical, controls, certification, and testing. Continual temporary domestic hot water shall be provided to the building except for a short duration night/weekend utility interruption for tie-in piping work.
