Description
REQUIREMENT
Parks Canada Agency requires a Contractor to provide Water Channel Diversion, Micropiling, Rock Anchoring, Shotcrete Application, Stone Masonry, and Structural Reinforced Concrete Demolition and Rehabilitation within Sinclair Canyon, along Highway 93S in Kootenay National Park.
The project consists of three work packages in close proximity within Sinclair Canyon, along Highway 93S in Kootenay National Park. The three work packages are:
1. Strengthening of an existing 72m long by 4-5m high (exposed face) bin wall. Associated work includes the re-instatement of the road and associated street furniture impacted during the construction of the retaining wall. Major work items include but not limited to: micropiling, rock anchoring, cast-in-place concrete as well as shotcrete.
2. Rehabilitation of Sinclair Canyon Bridge includes but not limited to: structural concrete repairs, removal/replacement of reinforced cast in place concrete sidewalk/overhang as well as stone masonry dismantle/rebuild.
3. Rehabilitation of Sinclair Creek Rock Tunnel, major work includes but not limited to: check scaling, rock bolting, shotcreting, as well as cast in place concrete.
TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS
This posting is the Stage Two of a two-stage solicitation process: the first stage was to evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers. The second stage (Stage Two) is to invite the qualified suppliers to provide further qualifications and a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings.
Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid.
Potential and interested sub-contractors are invited to add their company’s name under the section “Partner with another business”.
The estimated contract period will be 8 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2026/02/25.
