The City of Sherman, Texas, is accepting sealed bids for the Progress Drive Extension and Tortilla Way in the City of Sherman, Texas, hereinafter called “City” or “Owner,” in accordance with specifications and Contract Documents prepared by the City of Sherman. Sealed bids must be received at the office of City Engineering, located at the Community Services Building, 317 South Travis Street, Sherman, Texas 75090 no later than 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026. Bids received on or before this deadline will be opened and read aloud. Any bids received after the deadline will be rejected as non-responsive.
This project consists of all work associated with the unit price bid for the extension of Progress Drive and Tortilla Way. This construction project includes improvements such as grading, paving, storm drain, inlets, box culvert, headwalls, water and wastewater lines, pavement markings, and signing. Project shall include all necessary labor, materials, and testing in accordance with the plans and specifications.

Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier’s check or certified check from a national or state bank in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the City, or an original bid bond in the same amount from a surety company licensed by the State of Texas to act as a Surety and listed on the current U.S. Treasury Listing of Approved Sureties, or a Binder of Insurance executed by a surety company licensed by the State of Texas to act as a surety or its authorized agent as a guarantee that the respondent will enter into a contract and execute a Performance Bond within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract to respondent.
