QIAGEN, LLC Establishment of Preventative Maintenance and Service Agreement

Description:
This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Purchasing and Contracts intends to award a fixed price contract to Qiagen, LLC located in Germantown, Maryland 20874-1415 on a sole source basis for the Equipment maintenance are as follows.
The Department of Laboratory Medicine (DLM) has a requirement. Qiagen, LLC to maintain QI Acuity One, 5 Plex Instrument (S/N 803), QI Agility (S/N 74). QI Agility (S/N 66) QI symphony SP (S/N 14369). This is a procurement request for the establishment of a preventative maintenance contract for service rendered by Qiagen, LLC for instrumentation that are already onsite. The Department of Laboratory Medicine requires maintenance for the current contracts for these instruments. This maintenance agreement serves to keep all instruments running optimally while costly repairs due to damaged or malfunctioning equipment. Qiagen, LLC shall provide factory trained personnel with expertise in preventative and remedial maintenance for all the Qiagen instruments.
This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements.
Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
