THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP).
Proposals shall only be requested and accepted from contractors who are a Small Business AND certified in System for Award Management (SAM, https://sam.gov).
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), has a requirement for but not limited to the following:
127EAW25R0042 - Disaster, Monument Road Repair 4N47
Project Description: The project is situated along three Forest Service roads, specifically 4N47 Corral Bottom Road. The scope encompasses the restoration of roads impaired by the Monument Fire and associated suppression activities on the 4N47 road. The work includes the replacement of asphalt, removal of vegetation, base repairs, and full-depth reclamation, addressing issues such as heat damage, base failure, fire damage, and impacts from suppression efforts. The objective of the project is to rehabilitate the roads and associated features to a functional condition that adheres to standards for public use, thereby ensuring the safety and usability of the roads through essential repairs and modifications.
Project Location: Shasta Trinity National Forest, California.
Starting from eureka way in Redding, California, head north on Ca-273/eureka way for about 7.6 miles. Continue onto ca-299 west and drive for approximately 58.7 miles. Take the exit for Corral Bottom Road and proceed for about 5.6 miles, which should take Around 14 minutes. Turn left onto corral bottom road, then make a slight right to stay on corral bottom road. Continue for about 5.5 miles to reach your final destination 4N47.

Solicitation Number 127EAW25R0042 for this effort will be posted to SAM.gov (https://sam.gov) on or about July 2nd, 2025. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary submit a proposal for this project.
There is currently no official group site visit scheduled. The solicitation will include site visit information if one is deemed necessary.
Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is expected to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
