MOISD is Accepting Bids for Heavy Duty Mobile Column Vehicle Lift
System for the Career Center
July 2, 2026
Section 1: Introduction
The Mecosta-Osceola Intermediate School District (MOISD) Career & Technical
Education Center is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for the purchase and
delivery of one heavy-duty mobile column vehicle lifting system for use in the Diesel
Technology Career & Technical Education program.
The equipment will be utilized in an educational setting to provide students with industry-
standard training on heavy-duty truck service and maintenance. The selected system
must be durable, reliable, safe and designed for daily instructional use.
Section 2: Purpose
The purpose of this RFP is to procure a heavy-duty mobile lifting system capable of
safely lifting commercial trucks, buses, and other heavy vehicles used within the Diesel
Technology program.
Section 3: General Information
The successful vendor shall provide:

Proposal Submission deadline: July 15, 2026, 11 a.m.
Bid Opening Date: July 15, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the MOISD Board of Education Office,

Section 4: Minimum Technical Specifications
The proposed equipment shall meet or exceed the following minimum specifications.
Capacity
● Four (4) mobile hydraulic lifting columns
● Each lifting column shall have a minimum lifting capacity of 15,000 pounds
● Combined lifting capacity of at least 60,000 pounds

Lift Design
The system shall include:
● Four independent mobile lifting columns
● Fully synchronized lifting capability
● Electronic synchronization between columns
● Ability to operate as a complete lifting system
● Suitable for heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles
Mobility
Each lifting column shall include:
● Integrated hydraulic pallet jack system for mobility
● Easy movement by a single operator
● Stable positioning during lifting operations
● Fork adjustment range from 18 inches to 48 inches
Electrical Requirements
● 110-volt battery charging system or separate in-line power system
● Rechargeable battery-powered lifting operation or equivalent manufacturer-
approved system
● Standard North American electrical compatibility
Safety Features
The system shall include, at minimum:
● Emergency stop controls
● Automatic synchronization monitoring
● Mechanical locking system
● Overload protection
● Hydraulic safety protection
● Automatic safety locks
● Audible and/or visual warning indicators
● Compliance with applicable ANSI and OSHA safety standards

Section 7: Terms and Conditions
MOISD reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept the proposal
determined to be in the best interest of the District.
MOISD reserves the right to:
• Accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, waive informalities, and negotiate
with selected contractors.
• Modify or cancel the RFP.
• Accept the bid that best serves the interests of the district.
• Request additional information.

Sealed Proposals must be received no later than 11 a.m. on July 15th.
*Late submissions will not be considered. If bidders have concerns regarding the project
timeline, they may submit a statement of concern as an appendix to their proposal.
