Title: NOTICE OF INTENT TO SINGLE SOURCE NALCO COMPANY LLC
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 8/20/2026
Due Date: 9/11/2026
Description of Intended Products or Services Provided:
Chilled water treatment services and associated chemical supply for the County’s main campus chilled water system. Services to be procured under this waiver include chemical treatment supply, water quality monitoring and testing, system inspections, feed equipment calibration and maintenance, performance analysis, remote monitoring, and technical support necessary to maintain proper operation of the chilled water infrastructure.
Chilled water treatment services are required to support the reliable and efficient operation of the County’s central chilled water system, which provides campus-wide cooling to critical government facilities.
Proper water treatment protects chillers, pumps, piping, and heat exchange equipment from corrosion, biological growth, and scale formation. Without consistent treatment, system performance would degrade, increasing the risk of equipment failure, reduced energy efficiency, unplanned outages, and significant repair or replacement costs.
The Nalco/Ecolab treatment system was installed as part of a Board-approved capital project and is integrated into the operation of the chilled water plant. Continued manufacturer-supported treatment services are necessary to maintain system performance and protect the County’s infrastructure investment.
