The Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking bids from qualified vendors for Asphalt Overlay services on Hearst Castle Road at the Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument, Hearst Castle in San Simeon CA. Service shall be conducted at the Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument Hearst Castle Road at 750 Hearst Castle Road, San Simeon, CA 93452. Bids will be accepted via mail and e-mail until October 28th, 2025, at 2:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) at which time they will be publicly opened. Questions regarding this solicitation and job scope related questions shall be submitted to the DPR Bids SLO Coast District email at DPR.BidsSLOCoastDistrict@parks.ca.gov no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the bid opening due date. Questions shall be addressed through an addendum attached to this solicitation advertisement.

Note: A job walk thru shall be required. Contractors shall meet with the state parks representatives at the Hearst San Simeon Historical Monument Visitor Center at 750 Hearst Castle Road, San Simeon, CA 93452 on 10/13/2025 at 8:00 a.m. PST. It is imperative that bidders are not late for the job walk since DPR representatives and bidders shall follow a guide vehicle up Hearst Castle Road to the job site. Bidders shall check¿in with the Contract Administrator to be recorded present for the job walk.
