Description


Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of Street and Drainage Improvements to Hickory Lane located within Coffee County for the county¿s Fiscal Year 2026 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) as awarded from the Georgia Department of Transportation until 10:00 A.M. (local time), Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at which time bids will be opened and read.

The meeting will be held at the Coffee County Board of Commissioners¿ Office and will be open to the public. Proposals can be mailed to the attention of Wesley Vickers, County Administrator for the Coffee County Board of Commissioners, 224 West Ashley Street, Suite E Douglas, Georgia 31533. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. Coffee County Board of Commissioners may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids.

The Scope of Work Includes:
Street and Drainage Improvements

All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of owner in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the County. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract Amount.

The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the owner as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.

All work on the project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of date of Notice to Proceed.
