WATER MAIN EXTENSION

Sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the construction of a Water Main along Ray Hartley Road will be received by the Monroe County Board of Commissioners in the Board Room on the 3rd Floor of the Monroe County Administration Building at 38 West Main Street, Forsyth, Georgia 31029 until 11:00 A.M. local time, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The Project consists of furnishing and installing approximately 2,830 linear feet of 8 inch C900 DR 18 PVC and FPVC water main along with associated hydrants, valves, fittings, joint restraints, clearing, erosion control and connection to the existing water system on Rumble Road. Installation method to be by open trench and horizontal directional drilling. A non-refundable fee of $50.00 will be charged for electronic copies. A non-refundable fee of $200.00 will be charged for hard copies. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, prepared on the form of Bid Bond attached to the Contract Documents, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570, in the amount of 10% of the Bid. The successful Bidder for this Contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid.
