WATER MAIN EXTENSION

Sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the construction of a Water Main along Ray Hartley Road will be received by the Monroe County Board of Commissioners in the Board Room on the 3rd Floor of the Monroe County Administration Building at 38 West Main Street, Forsyth, Georgia 31029 until 11:00 A.M. local time, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The project includes furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to install approximately 2,830 linear feet of 8-inch C900 DR 18 PVC and FPVC water main along Ray Hartley Road, including hydrants, valves, fittings, joint restraints, erosion control, clearing, and connection to the existing system on Rumble Road. Installation will involve open trenching and horizontal directional drilling.
The contract time is 120 calendar days, with liquidated damages of $250 per day for delays. The contract will be awarded based on the total sum bid. Contractors must be licensed utility contractors in Georgia. Contract documents may be reviewed at Carter Engineering Group, LLC in Macon, Georgia. Electronic copies are available for $50 and hard copies for $200 (non-refundable). Bidders must purchase documents to be eligible and provide contact details to receive addenda. Each bid must include a 10% bid bond. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
