East Terrace
-
Construction of natural stone and concrete terrace adjacent to the east stairs and set into existing landscape. The primary structure is cast in place wall, foundation, and footer with exposed walls to be clad both sides with Lyons sandstone with a hammered finish sandstone cap. Flatwork to be slab on grade and cast-in place concrete stair, both with sanded finish. Existing stone gutter along primary stair to be replaced in kind where necessary and routed beneath entrance and exit slabs to terrace. Flatwork at terrace will include cast in place foundations with sleeves for temporary shade structures. Temporary shades will be constructed of aluminum and waterproof tensile fabric. Scope includes trenching, conduit, and cable for electrical connections as well as refurbishment and relocation of existing pedestrian pole light fixtures. Terrace to include lighting at walls, railings, and shade structure. Existing Wi-Fi infrastructure will be modified to provide coverage for staff at the terrace.

Construction of a 200sf insulated CMU storage building with Lyons sandstone cladding and a hammered sandstone parapet cap, along with an insulated metal deck and steel support beams. Foundation and footers to be cast in place concrete. Roof to include a green roof system with a fluid applied membrane and roof drain. Roof to support new irrigation system with controller located at interior of storage building. Lighting scope to include interior led strip lighting and controls, as well as inset pedestrian wall lighting and sconces at the exterior of the building. Mechanical scope to include relocation of existing hose bib and exhaust ducts into new masonry wall. Technology scope to include integration of card access reader into existing system.

Merchandise Stand

Construction of a 450sf CMU Merchandise Stand with Lyons sandstone cladding and a hammered sandstone parapet cap. Insulated roof assembly to include metal deck, TPO membrane, and sandstone paver system. Foundations and footers to be cast in place concrete. Openings to include 3 vertical lift stacking door systems at merchandise openings; 2 hollow metal doors with ADA actuators and Card Access system; and a storefront window. Lintels at all openings to be pre-cast concrete. Exterior scope includes 3 Prefinished metal awnings, with Ipe soffit and downlights. Interior lighting scope to include downlights and track lighting. Flatwork scope at merchandise stand will include replacement of adjacent concrete slab to make circulation around and into Merchandise stand ADA compliant. All flatwork to receive sanded finish and area drain connected to existing storm water pipe. Flatwork adjacent to merchandise will include cast in place foundations with sleeves for temporary shade structures. Temporary shade structure will be constructed of aluminum and waterproof tensile fabric. Interior scope includes masonry paint, solid surface countertops, resilient flooring, and a wall mounted grid display system. Mechanical Scope includes infrared heaters, a base board heater, and surface mounted fans. Technology Scope includes 2 wall mounted exterior menu screens, expansion of existing internet and Wi-Fi, and connection of card reader to existing system. A combination of trench and wall mounted conduit will bring electrical and internet service to the merchandise stand from nearby locations.
