Lease of Rental Space Located at 217 5th Street

CITY OF WEST DES MOINES

DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION
VALLEY JUNCTION LEASE

The City of West Des Moines, Iowa, is soliciting proposals from interested parties for the lease of approximately 400 square feet of first-floor office/retail space located at 217 5th Street, Suite 102, West Des Moines, Iowa.
The City intends to lease the space for an approved business use that is compatible with the character, activity, and surrounding businesses of the Valley Junction area. The premises may be used only for the business purpose and activities approved by the City and identified in the executed lease agreement.
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of West Des Moines, Iowa, on or before 2:00 p.m., Central Time, Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Interested parties shall submit their proposals in a sealed envelope delivered to:

The envelope shall be marked “Valley Junction Lease.”
Proposals received after the announced time and date of receipt, by mail or otherwise, will be returned unopened. The City is not responsible for delays occasioned by the U.S. Postal Service, the internal mail delivery system of the City, or any other means of delivery employed by the Contractor. Nothing herein is intended to exclude any responsible party or in any way restrain or restrict competition. The City of West Des Moines reserves the right to award in part or in whole or to reject any or all proposals and waive non-material irregularities and technicalities as determined to be in the best interest of said City.
Specifications and the Request for Proposal may be obtained from the City of West Des Moines Parks and Recreation Department or by contacting Trevor Hoth, Recreation Program and Facility Supervisor, at 515-222-4329. Applicants are encouraged to inspect the premises before submitting a proposal.
