Entry Level Police Officer

• Must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university by December 31, 2026.
• Must be between 18 and 35 years of age.
• Must be a citizen of the United States.
• Must be a resident of New Jersey at the time of appointment.
• Lateral transfers must complete the entire testing process and, if appointed, begin at entry-level salary.

On the day of the examination, two forms of identification are required, including one current photo identification. A photo driver’s license is preferred. Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Applicants must be present and seated at least 15 minutes before the examination begins.
• Applicants must bring at least two No. 2 pencils with erasers.
• There will be no talking or interaction once the examination begins.
• The examination will take approximately 2½ hours to complete.
• No food or beverages are permitted in the auditorium.
• No cell phones or smart watches are permitted in the auditorium during the examination.
