The City of Lake City, Florida (hereinafter, "City") invites financial advisory firms to submit proposals to serve as financial advisors on future bond issues. The advisor will provide services such as facilitating the sale of tax-exempt and taxable municipal bonds to finance new projects, coordinating bank loans, and reviewing outstanding debt for potential savings on refunding. The contract period will be for three (3) years with two (2) one-year renewals.
The City of Lake City is located in northeastern Florida in Columbia County and has a permanent population of approximately 12689. The City provides a full range of municipal services authorized by statute and charter, including water, sewer, reuse, and solid waste utilities, recreation, police, and fire protection. The City has a CRA/TIF district.
The City is operated legislatively by a Mayor and four-member Council elected at large for four years on staggered terms. The City Manager, as chief executive officer, manages the operations of the City and reports directly to the City Council. With the exception of the City Attorney and the City Clerk, all other employees report to the City Manager,
The City Council appoints the City Manager, who is the chief administrative officer of the City. The City Manager hires all other employees except the City Clerk and the Deputy City Clerk, who are appointed by the Council.
