The proposed improvements, designated as the Danville Ravine Stabilizations Project include work within 4 areas along the Lakeshore Drive, Suncrest Drive, Myrtle Drive, and Rivercrest Drive drainage areas. Construction work includes channel re-alignment, grading and tree/shrub clearing, in-stream structure placements, sanitary sewer CIPP lining, and storm sewer and inlet installation.
TIME AND PLACE OF BID OPENING: Sealed bids will be received until the closing time of 10:00 A.M. prevailing local time on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the office of the City Clerk, Robert E. Jones Municipal Building, 17 West Main Street, Danville Illinois. Bids received after the closing time shall not be accepted and shall be returned unopened. Bids submitted via the U.S. Postal Service or private courier shall be identified on the outside of the envelope with the phrase: “DANVILLE RAVINE STABILIZATIONS PROJECT”, and should be to: City Clerk, Robert E. Jones Municipal Building, 17 West Main Street, Danville, Illinois 61832. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud thereafter.

A “Pre-Bid” Conference will be scheduled on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. local time, at City of Danville Public Works, 1155 E. Voorhees., Danville, IL. Representatives of all bidding firms are strongly encouraged to attend to present any questions they may have. Attending the meeting is optional. Neither the Engineer Consultant nor Owner will respond to questions verbally regarding the Project outside the Pre-Bid Conference. All requests for clarifications or interpretations outside the Pre-Bid Conference shall be made to the Owner in writing and will be answered by Addendum when appropriate.
