Description
In the event the province requires Firetack Crew resources for emergency operations and activities related to wildfire operations, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry may enter into non-guaranteed contracts to deliver those services. The term “non-guaranteed” means the individual will be hired on an as-needed basis with no guarantee of work. Agreements may be signed with qualified contractors who intend on conducting business with the province. Firetack crews require specific wildfire training (NFPA training is not accepted) as well as other additional training such as first aid and chainsaw training as outlined in the attached contract. Contractors also require insurance and a valid COR or equivalent. Please contact your local forest area office for more information.
