Post Channel Island Reef Construction Saginaw Bay, Lk Huron

The project provides post-construction evaluation with comparisons to a pre-construction evaluation on the same site as well as some comparison to a similar restored reef (Coreyon Reef) in the same portion of Saginaw Bay. The assessment will document gains achieved by the habitat restoration and progress towards overall reproductive resiliency and diversity. Obj. 1: Determine habitat quality of Channel Island Reef by assessing water quality, potential egg predators and egg-incubation potential. Obj. 2: Evaluate post-construction reproductive usage by adult fishes during both the spring and fall spawning periods.
