Project Commencement: Work is anticipated to begin on August 1, 2026, and must achieve substantial completion by November 30, 2026.

Optional pre-bid walkthroughs will be offered on Wednesday, July 1 at 9 a.m. and Tuesday, July 7 at
9 a.m. at the project site: 215 Fast Ice Drive, Midland, MI.
Project Nature
The project involves the alteration of the Midland Public Schools' Fast Ice Drive facility, specifically for a change of use category.
Contract Scope
The contract includes all labor, materials, and permits for complete construction as indicated in the drawings and specified in Divisions 1 through 14 of the Specifications.

Demolition: Selective demolition of existing building elements is required for the alteration.

General Construction: The work encompasses multiple trades, including masonry, carpentry, and finishes.

Mechanical & Electrical: The General Contractor is responsible for coordinating the work of mechanical and electrical trades. This includes furnishing completely operable and tested mechanical and electrical systems.

Site Work: Responsibilities include building layout (lines and grades), maintenance of proper barricades, and site protection.

Administrative Requirements: The contractor must provide a field office and a full-time field superintendent acceptable to the Owner.

Compliance & Standards: All work must comply with the Michigan Prevailing Wages on State Projects Act and all applicable building codes and permit requirements.
