Replace Campus Steam Distribution - Phase 2
Description:

The work of this single bid project includes the complete abatement and demolition of all piping systems within the utility tunnel which extends for approximately 4,700 LF. A new medium pressure steam distribution system will be installed in the utility tunnels which include steam, condensate, and medium pressure return. The replacement of approximately 1,700 LF of direct-buried steam and condensate piping feeding 5 buildings. Installation of a temporary boiler at 8 different buildings to maintain the services during the replacement of the distribution system. Installation of new pipe support racks, tunnel lighting and protection for the existing fiber optics cabling and fire-rated doors in various locations.

A project walk-through has been scheduled for December 10, 2024, at 11:00am. Please see the Information for Bidders (IFB) for the location.

All bidders must present evidence of skill, experience and financial qualifications per Information to Bidders, Section 7 of the project specs. Subcontracting is permitted (Section 2.18 of SUCF Agreement). Principal subcontractors must be named within 48 hrs after bid opening per Information for Bidders Section 8. Bidders must submit within 48 hrs either certification of its NYS VendRep questionnaire (preferred) or a signed and notarized paper CCA2 form (Version 3/22 only), Attachments A, B, and C, Appendix A form, work descriptions, and preliminary project schedule.
