Project Description: Wake County's Bureau of Forensic Services, with the assistance of the Federal Coverdell Grants Program, is requesting bids to provide high-intensity dual-wavelength forensic light source kits that are fully compatible with the Crime-Lite AUTO 2 forensic imaging platform for crime scene and laboratory evidence examination. The purpose of this project is to enhance the laboratory’s evidence screening and examination capabilities through the acquisition of advanced Crime-lite alternate light sources. These updated systems are necessary to replace outdated units with declining performance and limited wavelength functionality, which currently restrict the laboratory’s ability to detect a full range of evidence types.
