RFP 26-1556 Major Sports and Event Facilities Feasibility and Strategic Advisory Services – Stage B

The City is seeking a qualified firm to provide strategic advisory services to access the feasibility and planning of a proposed major sports and even facility project in Calgary, including evaluating market, financial, and operational feasibility to support The City in making informed decisions regarding the future of McMahon Stadium and broader stadium-related infrastructure in Calgary. The City may, at its sole discretion, elect to expand the scope of services to include an additional mid‑size venue through a future scope amendment.

These facilities are envisioned to strengthen Calgary’s sports infrastructure, fostering tourism, economic development and community experiences that contribute to the city’s long-term growth and vitality.

This procurement is being conducted in two stages. Stage A was open to all interested proponents and served as the shortlisting phase. Stage B is restricted to the proponents who were shortlisted through Stage A.

This Stage B is focused on identifying a qualified team with the expertise, experience and capacity to provide early-stage analysis and strategic evaluation of complex initiatives involving multiple interest holders. The qualified team is required to have strong capabilities in market analysis, financial modelling, site selection, negotiations and strategic deal structuring.

- Suppliers must register on the Ariba portal to submit a bid.
- Hard copies will not be accepted.
- Failure to submit via SAP Business Network will result in a non-compliant bid.
- This RFP is open exclusively to shortlisted proponents from RFP 26-1556 (Stage A) who have been notified by The City and have executed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
