The City of Abilene (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Abilene Industrial Park Addition #1
Olsson Project No. B25-05594
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at Abilene City Hall located at 419 N Broadway
St, Abilene, KS 67410, until Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 2:00 pm local time. At that time the Bids received
will be publicly opened and read.
The Project includes the following Work:
The proposed Project includes construction of 1,340 linear feet of roadway, sanitary sewer,
waterline and a lift station, and all other associated work as indicated on the drawings and within
the specifications. The work will be completed by June 1, 2027.

Bidding Documents may be obtained from the office of the Engineer, Olsson. Prices for paper plans &
project manuals are as follows: Full Size Plan Set & Project Manual $150.00 and Half Size Plan Set &
Project Manual for $50.00. An emailed PDF is available for no charge. To request plans & project manuals,
email Lauren Smith at lsmith@olsson.com. Checks should be mailed to Olsson, 302 S 4th Street, Suite
110, Manhattan, KS 66502.
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 1:30 pm at Abilene City
Hall located at 419 N Broadway St, Abilene, KS 67410. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is
encouraged but not required.
Questions regarding Bids shall be directed to Jared Loomis, PE, at jloomis@olsson.com. All questions
must be submitted no later than 5:00 pm local time on Friday, July 17, 2026, to allow sufficient time for
them to be addressed.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. The check(s) or bond(s) shall
be made payable to Owner as security that the bidder(s) to whom the award(s) are made will enter into
contract to build the improvements bid upon and furnish the required bonds and insurance.
The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid which it deems most advantageous to the Owner, and to
reject any or all bids submitted and to hold as many bids as it desires for consideration for a period of
sixty (60) days after the bids are open.
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award,
refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
