Engine Companies 4, 33, & Training Academy - Security Barriers Replacement

The District of Columbia (the “District”) Department of General Services (“Department” or “DGS”) is issuing this Invitation for Bids (“IFB” or “Solicitation”) to engage a Small Business Enterprise (“SBE”) contractor (the “Contractor”) to provide all labor, materials, and equipment to complete construction services for Engine Companies 4, 33, & Training Academy - Security Barriers Replacement , located at:

• (Engine House 4) - 2531 Sherman Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20001
• (Engine House 33) - 101 Atlantic Street SE, Washington, DC 20032
• (Training Academy) - Shepherd Parkway SW, Washington, DC 20032

Bids are currently due before 12:00 pm on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 .

DC FEMS mission serves to preserve life and promote health and safety through excellent pre- hospital treatment and transportation, fire prevention, fire suppression, rescue activities and homeland security awareness.

The Engine Company 4, 33 and Training Academy FEMS locations operate on a 24/7/365 basis. All work is to be coordinated with DGS and FEMS to ensure minimal disruption to the day-to-day operations at the mentioned FEMS locations.

The goal of the project is to implement the demolition, replacement, and masonry of security barriers located at Engine Companies 4, 33 and the FEMS Training Academy. The Contractor shall deliver a complete, turnkey solution to deliver a successful Project.
