Project Description: The objective of the Main Stem Balancing Reservoir (MSBR) Feasibility Study is to advance the evaluation of the MSBR strategy from the planning level included the Long Range Water Supply Plan (LRWSP) to a feasibility level by identifying potential challenges in implementing the project; evaluating the associated risk and level of effort to overcome these challenges; providing recommendations, timelines, and budgets, for additional studies, permitting and design; preliminary design of the dam/embankment, riverine intake and pump station, MSBR intake and pumpstation and transmission line to connect to DWU’s water supply system. All designs and cost estimations should be in line with a maturity level as described in the AACE International Recommended Practice 18R-97 Class 4.
