REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS - Architectural and Engineering Design Services

The City of Ceres (City) is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified architectural firms to provide comprehensive architectural and engineering services for the evaluation, programming, design, permitting, bidding, and construction support associated with the remodel of the building located at 2744 2nd Street, Ceres, California 95307. The property is located on the City's main municipal campus and is being acquired for future City use.

The selected consultant will lead a multidisciplinary team capable of evaluating the existing building, working with City staff to establish the final space program, identifying demolition and hazardous-material abatement areas, preparing remodel plans and specifications, obtaining required approvals, and supporting the City through bidding and construction.

This solicitation is intended to be a qualifications-based selection. The City will evaluate firms based on demonstrated competence, professional qualifications, relevant experience, project understanding, approach, and availability. The Cost Proposal must be submitted concurrently in a separate sealed envelope and will remain sealed during the qualifications evaluation and ranking process.

The City intends to negotiate a fair and reasonable scope and fee with the highest-ranked firm. If the City is unable to reach agreement, it may terminate negotiations and proceed to the next highest-ranked firm.  Only the selected firm’s cost proposal will be opened.
