Narrative Ethnography for the Health Futures Lab

San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC) is a public hospital and clinic system fully accredited by The Joint Commission. SMMC operates outpatient clinics throughout San Mateo County, an acute-care hospital, and long-term care facilities in San Mateo and Burlingame. San Mateo Medical Center serves the health care needs of all residents of San Mateo County, with an emphasis on education and prevention, and without regard for ability to pay.

The County of San Mateo is seeking proposals for Narrative Ethnography for the Health Futures Lab .

The Health Futures Lab at the San Mateo Medical Center is the innovation hub of San Mateo County Health. It codesigns new care models and payment models with client communities, payers, and other stakeholders. The Health Futures Lab is soliciting proposals for narrative ethnography involving 3,000 youth on Medi-Cal to understand their needs, perspectives, and aspirations regarding behavioral health and staying engaged and healthy.
