Background

A. Prior Improvements:

Camping World Stadium is a multi-purpose outdoor venue that plays host to a wide variety of sports and entertainment events including the NFL Pro Bowl, neutral site and post season NCAA football games, WWE WrestleMania, international soccer matches, motorsports events and concerts by some of the world’s most iconic music acts. It is a key component of the City of Orlando’s sports tourism strategy.

The original Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium was constructed in 1936, with several additions to the lower seating bowl over the next 50 years raising capacity to 52,000 seats. In 1989, the stadium underwent a major expansion with the addition of a precast, pre-stressed concrete upper bowl structure, with 18,000 seats and four precast access ramps.

2014 Project (Phase 1):

In 2014, the entire lower bowl of Camping World Stadium was partially demolished and reconstructed and the suite levels were renovated. The existing upper bowl structures were retained. The primary goals of the reconstruction were improving spectator comfort and providing additional premium seating.

The lower bowl structure was replaced with a new lower bowl on a wide 360-degree field level concourse. The lower bowl seating features increased legroom and all individual chair-back seats. The new concourse features new restrooms with improved queuing space and enhanced ratios between spectators and restroom fixtures. A full kitchen and additional concession amenities were also provided. Modern team facilities and operations areas and a kitchen were provided. At the north end zone, preparations were made for field level enclosed suite or club spaces but spaces have not been built out.

A new mid bowl and club seating on a 360-degree plaza level concourse were also added. At the plaza level, two indoor clubs serve 1,000 spectators each and four open air clubs serve 750 spectators each. The plaza level also features new restroom and concession facilities contributing to overall improved spectator experience.

At the west suite level, the entire floor plate was renovated to include ten individual suites and two large “club suites.” A press box and broadcast media boxes were also provided. The east suite level corridor finishes were also updated. Three main video boards were provided. The south video board is 38’ x 90’ and the two boards in the north are each 30’ x 50’. Upgraded video processing equipment was provided along with the boards. The precast access ramps were demolished and replaced by vertical circulation structures running the length of the east and west sidelines.

2021 Project (Phase 2):

Following additional funding for Stadium Improvements in 2019, Camping World Stadium underwent another phase of improvements in 2021. The Project was focused on improving the overall fan experience with a focus on specific areas of the Stadium that would receive additional amenities to improve overall efficiency.

The largest portion of the improvements includes the addition of a new level on both the East and West Sidelines (Club Levels). The new level on each sideline consists of approximately 17,000 exclusive floorplate that includes concession(s), a marketplace, beverage bars, lounge areas and dedicated restrooms with direct access to the club level seating bowl.

Additionally, new suites were added within the Clubs at the center of the each sideline providing a more exclusive experience. Seating options include club seats, suite seats and a variety of four person loge boxes with custom lounge seating.

To serve the new areas, power to the stadium was upgraded and four new passenger elevators were added.

The 2021 improvements also included 4,000+ seats in the North end zone along with additional concessions and restrooms to serve the additional seating capacity. Other areas of the stadium were also improved to provide additional points of sale.

Outside the Stadium, the surrounding lots were re-graded to provide better drainage to fully maximize the parking inventory.
