REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL # 2025-018
Fire Equipment Maintenance
The City of Salem is seeking sealed proposals from qualified Offerors to provide all labor, equipment, tools, supplies, transportation, and incidentals necessary for servicing and maintaining of fire equipment services and maintenance required, including annual inspections, testing, and repairs, for departmental fire extinguishers (including pick up and delivery to and from various City departments and City vehicles within the City of Salem), smoke detectors, alarm panels, carbon dioxide detectors, exit/emergency lights, sprinkler systems, and kitchen hoods (cleaning, testing, and inspections), in accordance with Request For Proposal (RFP) # 2025-018.
There will be a non-mandatory pre-proposal conference held at 2:00 p.m. ET on Monday, April 7, 2025 in Council Chambers, located at City Hall, 114 North Broad Street, Salem, Virginia, 24153, to answer any questions from interested parties.
Proposals must be received by hand delivery, mail or electronic submission through eVA at
www.eva.virginia.gov
no later than 3:00 p.m. ET on April 23, 2025.
Offerors who choose to submit paper proposals, shall submit one (1) original and one (1) electronic copy on a flash drive (Microsoft Word or PDF) in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside with the company’s name and “Attn: Purchasing Dept. – RFP #2025-018 – Fire Equipment Maintenance”.

Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted.
The City of Salem reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any or all informalities or irregularities in any proposal. The City reserves the right to award as it deems in the best interest of the City of Salem.
No proposal may be withdrawn after opening except for clerical errors, as set forth in Section 2.2-4330 of the Virginia Code. Offeror must give the City a notice in writing of the request to withdraw a proposal within two (2) business days after conclusion of opening.
