Transportation services are required for materials and equipment consisting of prefabricated structural steel, prefabricated metal sheet skin, insulation, fasteners, prefabricated steel components, cabling, electrical components, cryogenic system components, and electronic components to be used to construct the LBNF/DUNE-US cryostats and scientific experiment. Materials may also consist of consumables and other support supplies. The materials transport needs are approximately 6,900 MT of structural steel and prefabricated metal sheets and about ~15,600 pallet equivalents.
Transportation services are from the South Dakota Steel Storage and Warehouse Services location at Dakota Warehouse 1313 E. Saint Patrick St., Rapid City, SD 57701 to the Ross Complex at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) 100 Ross Street, Lead, SD 57754.
