NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 5), Washington DC VA Medical Center located at 50 Irving Street NW, Washington DC, 20422 is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source award IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and
Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements per 41 USC §3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1.

This is for OsmoPRO MAX Automated Osmometer, Product No. OsmoPRO MAX for Washington DC VA Medical Center. The Washington DC VA Medical Center have already OsmoPro Max system that is in use in the lab. Standardization of the equipment is vital to ensure standardization of supplies.
Advanced Instruments LLC., is the sole provider of the OsmoPRO MAX Automated Osmometer in North America, associated accessories and services. Services to be rendered Soley by Advanced Instruments certified technicians including installation, training, and validations services, preventative services and repairs services.
The place of performance is Washington DC VAMC, 50 Irving Steet NW, Washington DC, 20422. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Contract.
The intended Contractor is Advanced Instruments, LLC., located at 2 Technology Way, STE 288, Norwood, MA 02062 USA.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing - Product of Service Code for this requirement is 6515, Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is 1000.
This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available, and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made based on unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. The information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to complete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed- price contract. A decision by the Government about whether to compete with this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competition.
This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted.
