Description
Notice of Intent for Sole Source
The purpose of this announcement is to provide notice that the National Park Service, Arizona MABO, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for research and writing service of an ethnographer for Tumacácori National Historical Park (TUMA).
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 541720- Research and Development in the Social Sciences and Humanities- with a size standard of $28M. This procurement is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures soliciting from a single source authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
The Contracting Office at the Arizona Major Acquisition Buying Office hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Anthropological Research LLC for research and writing service of an ethnographer for TUMA. The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available due to the nature of the requirement and no other sources will be able to satisfy agency requirements.

Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government to utilize competition will be based upon responses received as a result of this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government.
