LTPG Level 6 Rehabilitation, Roof Replacement & Fire Suppression Refurbishment

The Project consists of rehabilitation and refurbishment efforts at the Long Term Parking Garage (LTPG) at Tampa International Airport. Level 6 of the LTPG will be repaired, waterproofed, and the entire area will be re-striped. Stair towers will be repaired and waterproofed, the roofs of the stair towers, elevator penthouses, and Alstom office at the LTPG will be removed and replaced. The Alstom office exterior at the LTPG will be waterproofed.

Furthermore, the Project involves the removal and replacement of critical fire protection components within the LTPG fire pump room. The scope includes replacing the existing fire pump, jockey pump, controllers, associated piping, grooved fittings, and electrical connections. The upgraded system will meet current fire protection standards, improve reliability, and address aging infrastructure to enhance the overall safety and operational functionality of the facility.

Detailed Project Description:

Long Term Parking Garage – Level 6

This Project consists of rehabilitation of Level 6 including concrete repairs to floors, ceilings, columns, and beams. Expansion joints will be replaced and traffic topping will be removed and re-applied over control joints. Also included in this project is pavement markings and miscellaneous painting of structural and non-structural components. Replacement of the existing wayfinding signs includes total replacement on the entire level. Miscellaneous repairs are also included.

Long Term Parking Garage – Stairs and Elevators

This Project consists of rehabilitation of the stair towers including concrete repairs to floors, walls, and beams. Cracks and joints will be sealed. Bollards, handrails, and steel and concrete elements will be painted. At Level 8, the stair tower and elevator storefronts will be sealed. Miscellaneous repairs are also included.

Long Term Parking Garage – Roof Replacement

This Project consists of roofing removal and replacement at all the stair tower roofs, elevator penthouse roofs, and Alstom office building roof. Also included is the application of waterproofing membranes at the elevator penthouse roofs.

Long Term Parking Garage – Alstom Office

This Project consists of waterproofing, expansion joint replacement, crack and joint repairs, and the application of a high-performance high-build coating at the walls of the Alstom office at the Long Term Parking Garage.

Long Term Parking Garage – Fire Suppression System

This Project consists of replacing the existing fire pump, jockey pump, control panel / transfer switch, associated piping, grooved fittings, and electrical connections within the LTPG fire pump room.
