ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for INDUSTRIAL AREA TANK AND WATER LINE, to be constructed for CITY OF TONTITOWN will be received at the office of the CITY OF TONTITOWN and addressed to City of Tontitown, Attn: James Clark, 235 E Henri De Tonti Blvd, Springdale, AR 72762, until 11:00 AM on DECEMBER 3rd, 2024 at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud.
An Optional Pre-Bid Conference will be held on NOVEMBER 7th at 10:00 AM at 235 E Henri De Tonti Blvd. Each bidder shall be limited to three personnel per organization.
The Project consists of but is not limited to the construction of a 1-million-gallon elevated water storage tank, approximately 3,000 linear feet of 12” PVC water line and appurtenances south of US Highway 412 and all necessary fittings, valves, electrical improvements, and associated site work related to the project. The elevated tank is approximately 180 feet in height from ground to the overflow elevation. Acceptable designs for the elevated tank include composite elevated tank. Contractors shall submit general design data with the bid in order to demonstrate experience and understanding of the project.
Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be on unit price basis. Owner will evaluate bids based on the qualifications of the contractor and style of tank proposed by each bid. Contractors may submit up to three bids, one bid per accepted tank style, however only one contract to construct one tank shall be awarded by the Owner.

Addendums to the bid package will be issued through the Garver online Plan Holders List; therefore, all prime bidders shall be responsible for downloading the bid documents from the Garver online plan room in order to be included in the Plan Holders List. Bidders must enter the addenda numbers in Article 3.01 of the Bid Form to verify receipt.
Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier’s or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the Owner, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fifteen (15) days after notice of award of Contract to him. Such bid guarantee shall be made payable to CITY OF TONTITOWN.
The successful bidder must furnish a performance, payment, and maintenance bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of AR to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner.
Bids must remain in effect for 60 days after the bid opening date. Within 60 days from the bid date, the Owner may award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder or reject any or all bids for the project.
The CITY OF TONTITOWN reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the CITY OF TONTITOWN, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids.
