Project Description: The City of Meridian, in cooperation with a consortium of other municipal water providers in the Treasure Valley- currently anticipated to include the Cities of Middleton, Nampa, Caldwell, and the municipal water provider Veolia (collectively “the Consortium”), is requesting Statements of Qualification (SOQs) from engineering and hydrogeological consultants/consultant teams for scoping of a project to gather, analyze, and assemble data, and produce a report documenting the extent of artesian groundwater conditions in the Treasure Valley.
The objective of this work is to effectively present data in a user-friendly format that will effectively delineate and communicate the extent of artesian groundwater conditions in the Treasure Valley. This will enable the Idaho Department of Water Resources (IDWR) to efficiently and effectively apply the appropriate Well Construction Standards Rules in order to prevent waste and contamination of the Treasure Valley ground water resource.
The chosen consultant will work with the consortium and IDWR to develop a scope of work and estimate for the project. The consortium will then execute an agreement regarding funding and management that will allow the project to proceed.
