Project Description: The City of Olathe is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide Disaster Debris Monitoring Services. The City of Olathe requires disaster management, recovery, and consulting services to support the oversight and management of debris recovery and removal contractors. Other services include, but are not limited to, facilitating communication with FEMA, the State of Kansas and other regional, local and federal agencies. It is the intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain fixed price proposals from firms specializing in Storm Debris Monitoring Services. The intent is to execute a pre-event contract, which would result in no immediate cost to the CITY and would be in effect for a period of three years with the option of additional contract periods.
The successful contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment required to complete the work. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) financial assistance will be used to fund the contract. Contractor will be required to be familiar with current applicable Federal, State, County, and Municipal laws, regulations, statutes, ordinances, executive orders, and directives including, but not limited to, the following: Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
